Song of the Day – Wednesday 11/3/2010 Deerhoof November 3, 2010

So MizMuze lost, and then found her Flip Cam recently; and while the politicians, pundits, and poll results were streaming on the tube last night, I was experimenting with more important things — like uploading concert videos.  Apologies to subscribers if you were inundated with emails last night, still trying to figure out how VodPod works.

San Francisco indie rockers, Deerhoof are scheduled to release their new album, Deerhoof vs. Evil on 1/25/2010, and you can download their single “The Merry Barracks” for free here.

See Deerhoof fight evil when they hit the Great American Music Hall on 1/28/2011…

Song of the Day – Tuesday 10/19/2010 The Go! Team October 19, 2010

England’s cheerleading indie rock/hip hoppers, The Go! Team are scheduled to drop their third album, Rolling Blackouts on 1/31/2011 with collaborations from Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast and Satomi Matsuzaki of Deerhoof to appear on the album.

The single, “T.O.R.N.A.D.O.” was released last week and can be downloaded here for free!  Much like the title of the song, lead singer, Ninja, runs around the stage like a Tasmanian Devil with a vortex of energy.

You can hear the studio version in the link below…

Georgia’s indie four-piece, Deerhunter will release their fourth album, Halcyon Digest on 9/28/2010…

It’s not duck season or wabbit season in the Bay Area…it’s Deer Season!   See Deerhunter, along with Real Estate when they perform two nights in San Francisco:  10/29 at the Great American Music Hall, and on 10/30 at Slim’s.

Song of the Day – Thursday 7/1/2010 Wavves July 1, 2010

San Diego noise punkers, Wavves is fronted by Nathan Williams aka Bethany Cosentino’s (frontwoman for Best Coast) boyfriend.  What an adorable little lo-fi, weed lovin’, surf rockin’ couple!   Speaking of Best Coast and boyfriends, Best Coast’s new single, “Boyfriend” can be downloaded here.

Wavves third album, King of the Beach is now available on iTunes and will hit music stores (are there any left?) on 8/3.

All you’ll need are some tasty Wavves, a cool buzz, and you’ll be fine when Wavves plays at the Rickshaw Stop on 8/18/10…tix go on sale tomorrow.

Song of the Day – Thursday 6/24/2010 Thee Oh Sees June 24, 2010

MizMuze is all about supporting the home team, therefore Thee Oh Sees (formerly The Ohsees, OCS, Orange County Sound, Orinoka Crash Suite) are a San Francisco underground garage rock band who may be very well be one of the hardest working bands out there—in the past few years they have released six full-length LPs and four EPs!  Their latest album, Warm Slime dropped on 5/11/2010…
