Song of the Day – Friday 4/30/2010 Pavement April 30, 2010

Let’s take a trip in the Wayback Machine…I’m talking all the way back to 1994:  Pop punk hits the scene with Green Day and Blink 182’s debut album; Nirvana plays their last concert and one month later Kurt Cobain is found dead; the Fillmore reopens in San Francisco; Blur vs. Oasis; and of course, Stockton’s indie rock kings, Pavement come close to having a hit with “Cut Your Hair.”

After years of speculation of a Pavement reunion, the day has finally come.  Having just played at Coachella, the band will perform at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley on 6/25/2010.  Pavement just released a compilation album entitled, Quarantine The Past: The Best Of Pavement on 3/9/2010 which received 10 out 10 from Pitchfork.
