If you’re lucky enough to live in the beautiful Bay Area, or just happen to be visiting, you will not be able to use the excuse, “there’s nothing to do today” during the month of April.

It’s all happening here—just check out MizMuze’s Conzert Calendar and see what amazing options await you (the calendar is continuously being updated so check back often; recent updates are in bold)…

Song of the Day – Wednesday 3/24/2010 The School

Welsh band, The School have studied their 60’s-era pop without missing a single class.  Paying tribute to bands such as The Ronnettes and The Shangri-Las along with fellow UK retro indie acts like Belle & Sebastian and Camera Obscura, singer/songwriter, Liz Hunt explains her 60’s obsession: “My heart and brain genuinely think they’re in that era.  It’s what I live and breathe so it would be unnatural for me to make any other type of music.”

The School – Let It Slip

The School’s debut album Loveless Unbeliever will drop next month.

WTF?! Trololo is now an iPhone App? March 23, 2010

With over two million views, many of you have probably already seen this, as it’s been circulating around the web for a few weeks.  But in case you haven’t, or you happen to be a Trololo Fan, check out Trololo (it’s so viral that a Trololo iPhone app was just announced today!)

Eduard Khil – Trololo

Here’s a little info about the song:

In 1966, Soviet singer Eduard Khil sang “I Am So Happy to Finally Be Back Home,” on a Russian television show.  It is meant to be sung in the vokaliz style, that is to say sung, but without words.

Mr. Trololo already has over 14,000 fans on his Facebook page and Russian bloggers are starting a buzz to encourage Khil to represent Russia at the next Eurovision Song Contest.

Check out the Trololo iPhone App:

Song of the Day – Tuesday 3/23/2010 Little Dragon

Yukimi Nagano fronts Swedish band, Little Dragon with three of her closest high school friends…that’s right, I said Swedish band. Nagano was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden to a Japanese father and Swedish/American mother, listening to American folk and R&B.

Blending soul, R&B, electronic beats, pop hooks, and sounding a bit like Erykah Badu on this track, you may wanna check out Little Dragon when they hit The Independent on 4/13 and 4/14 supported by VV Brown…

Little Dragon – Constant Surprises

You can also hear Little Dragon featured on the Gorillaz album Plastic Beach, on tracks “Empire Ants” and “To Binge”

Listen to MGMT’s New Album “Congratulations” March 22, 2010

MGMT’s sophomore album, Congratulations, is scheduled for release on 4/13/2010, however, you can hear the album in its entirety on the band’s official website.  Andrew and Ben said they decided to stream their “no singles” album because, “the album leaked, and we wanted you to be able to hear it from us.  We wanted to offer it as a free download but that didn’t make sense to anyone but us.”

Song of the Day – Monday 3/22/2010 Chew Lips

Let’s get this Monday started with a disco-dance party!  London-based band, Chew Lips draw from Blondie, Prince, LCD Soundsystem, and Hot Chip.  Lead singer Tigs describes how they came up with their name:  “Chew Lips is from a book called “Borstal Boy” which is by a Irish author named Brendan Behan. We think its kind of sleazy and kind of sexy and a bad pun, it describes us quite well.”

Chew Lips – Salt Air

Chew Lips are leaving the States after SXSW and heading back to England:
