Even though MizMuze has been under the weather, I felt much better after seeing Oberhofer open up for Neon Indian and Sleigh Bells [SB absolutely slayed the crowd, (or is it slew?)] at The Independent on Monday!
20-year-old Brad Oberhofer and the rest of the band put on a great show, so check them out next time they’re in town…

The fifth-annual Record Store Day returns this Saturday, 4/16/11! That’s when hundreds of independently owned music stores around the world will unite to celebrate the unique culture that only an indie music store can provide.
What better way to spend your tax return money (or retail-therapy for those that owe Uncle Sam)?!
Prepare by printing and checking out the list of Record Store Day Exclusive Releases:

And click the link below to find out who’s participating in your neighborhood (MizMuze might have to head over to Berkeley’s Rasputin to get John Taylor of Duran Duran’s signature)…
So what’s a girl to do now that LCD Soundsystem have broken up?! Well, a girl like MizMuze will wipe her tears, dust herself off, and move on…move on to Holy Ghost! that is. The band’s self-titled debut album dropped 4/5/2011 on DFA Records (James Murphy’s label).
The DJ duo from Brooklyn will be spooking the Bay Area with a headling show on 4/15 at the Blank Club in San Jose with Geographer, and will perform opening act duties for Cut Copy on 4/16 and 4/17 at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco.
